MEMORANDUM <br />northwest 2ssociEted consultEnts, inc. <br />T0: David Licht <br />FROM: Jay Baago <br />DATE: 7 March 1985 <br />RE: Little Canada Zoning Ordinance Revision - <br />New and Used Car Sales <br />FILE NO: 750.09 <br />In checking with area cities and also with the League of Minnesota Cities, <br />it appears as if there are few special standards imposed by these municipalities <br />relative to new and used car sales operations. Some cities have attached <br />conditions to special use permits, or other controls with which we might be <br />interested in. These provisions are discussed below and do not take into <br />account basic requirements involving screening, landscaping, accessory uses, <br />etc. that would be applicable to all acceptable uses within a certain district. <br />St. Louis Park <br />The City allows an open sales lot through a CUP based on the following <br />conditions: <br />1. At least one -third of stock is new and unused automobiles. <br />2. Area for open sales or rental lot used for storage and display shall <br />not exceed two (2) square feet for every one (1) square foot of <br />building. <br />Bloomington <br />Usually done through a rezoning or commercial PUD process, the City has the <br />following minimum parking and site requirements: <br />97 <br />A) i l l i f i !
