MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />APRIL 12, 2006 <br />The City Administrator reported that there will be a project meeting held <br />tomorrow and these issues will be discussed. <br />GOOSE The City Administrator reported that based on public comments he <br />ROUND UP received following last year's goose round-up, he recommended that the <br />Council hold a public hearing on the issue, discussing the pros and cons of <br />the goose round-up, results of the Community Survey, as well as have a <br />presentation from Dr. Cooper from the U of M. It was noted that the <br />survey results show that 76% support or strongly supporC the continuation <br />of the City's goose round-up. <br />Montour suggested that the City look at the goose management plan and <br />determine whether it is an annual round-up or an every 3 to 5 year round <br />up. The Administrator indicated thaC this type of information could be <br />discussed as parC of the public hearing. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0.2006-4-89 - CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING <br />TOR WEDNESDAY, MAY I0, 2006 AT 7:30 P.M. TO DISCUSS THE <br />CITY'S GOOSE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CONTRACT The City Administrator reviewed the proposed contract with the City of <br />FOR Falcon Heights to provide executive search assistance in selecting a new <br />EXECUTIVE city administrator for Chat city. The City Administrator pointed out that <br />SEARCH Little Canada would be reimbursed for his time in providing this <br />ASSISTANCE assistance to Falcon Heights. Any of his personal time spent in the <br />WITH process would be gratis. The Administrator indicated that the only issue <br />FALCON of concern with the conh•act language is the need for Falcon Heights to <br />HEIGHTS indemnify Little Canada for its acts and omissions. The Administrator <br /> recommended that the City Attorney draft the appropriate indemnification <br /> language. <br />The City Attorney agreed that the City of Falcon Heights should <br />indemnify and defend Little Canada and the City Administrator should the <br />need arise, and stated that he would put the appropriate language together. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />7 <br />
