802.030. DEPOSIT FEE. At the time of filing an application for a license to engage in the business of selling cigarettes at retail, the applicant shall deposit with the City Clerk the sum of Twelve Dollars ($12.00) and the Clerk shall thereupon deliver to the applicant a receipt therefor containing a statement of the purpose for which the deposit was made and a copy of said receipt shall be attached to and filed with the application. 802.040. INSPECTION. Any applicant shall permit the officers of the City to inspect and examine the place of business described in the application and any refusal on the part of the applicant to permit such inspection shall be sufficient ground for the Council to refuse the license applied for. 802.050. LICENSE GRANTED BY RESOLUTION. The Council shall, after whatever investigation it deems necessary, by resolution grant the license applied for by such applicant, if in the opinion of the Council he is entitled thereto. 802.060. ANNUAL LICENSE YEAR AND FEE. The annual cigarette license as provided for herein shall run for the period of one (1) calendar year commencing January 1st of each year. If application is made after January 1st, the licensee shall pay a fee on the basis of One Dollar ($1.00) for each month or portion of month of the calendar year remaining and such fee shall entitle the applicant to engage in the business of selling cigarettes for the remainder of the year unless for any reason the license is revoked or suspended. (Source: Ord. 3) 803. USED CAR SALES 803.010. LICENSE. No person shall engage in the business of selling, buying, trading or dealing in used automobiles or motor vehicles of any kind within the City without first procuring a license to engage in such business as hereinafter provided. This license requirement shall apply from and after the date of the passage of this ordinance and every person engaged in such business at this time must obtain a license hereunder in order to continue the operation of such business. 803.020. APPLICATION, FEE AND LICENSE PERIOD. Application for used car dealers licenses shall be made to the Clerk of the City on a form to be furnished by the Clerk. The fee for such license shall be Twenty Five Dollars ($25.00) per year and the license period shall be the calendar year. The license fee for any part of a year shall be the same as for a full year. All applications to engage in used car business must be submitted by the Clerk to the City Council at its next regular meeting before such license may be issued. 27
