Approval <br />Of The <br />Minutes <br />MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />March 14, 1985 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the <br />Planning Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was <br />held on the 14th day of March, 1935 in the Council Chambers of <br />the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chairman Peter Costa called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. and <br />the following were present at roll call: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Peter Costa <br />Bill Davison <br />Gene DeLonais <br />Thomas Ducharme <br />Roy French <br />Art Herkenhoff <br />Karolyn Kingsbury <br />Thomas Perlinger <br />Sharon Timmons <br />ALSO PRESENT: Steve Grittman, City Planner <br />Kathleen Glanzer, Recording Secretary <br />Mr. DeLonais indicated that the minutes of the February 14 meeting <br />should reflect that in the Budget Auto matter, page 3, second <br />paragraph from the bottom, he stated that under the original <br />special use permit that was approved for the property, there was <br />to be no parking of cars in the green area on the corner, and <br />there have been cars parked in this area prior to Mr. Fritz's <br />renting of the property. <br />Mr. Costa indicated that with that correction the minutes were <br />approved as read. <br />Steneroden Mr. Rocky Waite appeared before the Commission to present a development <br />Rezoning & proposal for a long narrow piece of property located on Rice Street <br />CUP and running adjacent to the Iona Lane area. The property consists of <br />4 1/2 acres. There is 122 feet on Rice Street and the property widens <br />out to 200 feet in the back. The property is 1,100 feet deep. <br />Mr. Waite stated that they are proposing a self- service car wash on <br />the front of the property which would consist of 4 hays with two wash <br />areas in each bay. Mini- storage units are proposed for the back of <br />the property. <br />Mrs. Timmons commented that she felt that the Iona Lane residents would <br />be very vocal about this proposal. <br />Mr. Waite stated that they would like to request that the property be <br />rezoned to B -3 and pointed out the existing B -3 zoning in the area. <br />Page -1- <br />
