Little Canada Mayor and City Council
Little Canada Planning Commission
30 January 1985
Page Two
Of concern and not addressed are the following issues:
1. Overall site drainage and grading.
2. Floor elevation of the garage.
3. Utility and drainage easements
Under present policy, it is our understanding that the applicant can ignor
these basic evaluations and protection criteria.
RECOMMENDATION
Professionally we cannot condone the present practice of allowing subdivision
of property without proper regard for protection of the City and potential
buyer. We find very shallow the arguement of cost when $30,000 to $40,000 or
more of nonhomestead property is involved. Protection of the City and potential
buyer is a cost of doing business and a responsibility of the local government.
Based upon the foregoing position, but in recognition of City Council policy
we offer no recommendation on this natter.
cc: Joseph Chlebeck
Lowell Nagovsky
Don Carley
Tom Sweeney
12
