WELTZIN
Director
and
County Engineer
PHYLLIS F. SPECKER
Deputy Director
As a followup to our meeting Wednesday, July 24, it appears to be most
desirable to Ramsey County to utilize both municipal and county state aid
funds to their fullest extent.
Two items are not eligible for state aid funding:
The Emergency Vehicle Pre - emption System,
estimated cost
The oversizing of the storm sewer to
provide drainage for the area outside the
roadway. Presently, Mn /DOT is only allowing
57.5 percent which means that Little Canada's
share would be 42.5 percent of the estimated
$51,070.00 storm sewer cost. See Mn /DOT
letter attached.
Note: This percentage looks low to me.
You may want to direct your engineer to
review this. Perhaps, if additional
documentation is submitted to Mn /DOT, the
state aid eligible costs could be increased.
Little Canada total estimated cost
25
$17,659.25
21,704.75
$39,364.00
