ORDINANCE NO. ,,,W <br />AN ORDINANCE ADDING DEFINITIONS OF <br />COMMUNITY CENTER AND NEIGHBORHOOD CENTER <br />TO THE ZONING CODE OF THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE CANADA HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. <br />Sections 23.1 and 97.1 are hereby added to Section <br />902.O10.A. of the Zoning Code of the City of Little Canada to <br />read as follows: <br />23.1. Community Center. Land and /or buildings, owned and <br />used by the City of Little Canada, School District No. 623, or <br />a church, for educational, recreational, and multiple human <br />service purposes, which are intended to primarily benefit the <br />residents of the City of Little Canada and the cities which <br />surround it. "Primarily benefit" means that at least 5O% of the <br />physical facility must be used by the owner /operator for qualified <br />in -house programs which are designed to service the residents of <br />the City of Little Canada and the cities which surround it. <br />Operating costs may be defrayed by the rental of the remainder of <br />the facility to non - profit organizations, for the purposes stated <br />herein, not to exceed 10% of the gross floor area of the facility <br />for any one lessee. <br />A Community Center may not include any use which is deemed by the <br />City Council to constitute a detriment to the health, safety and <br />general welfare of the residents of the City. <br />97.1. <br />similar in <br />be smaller <br />within the <br />Neighborhood Center.
