This agreement was modeled after the one used by Dakota and Anoka <br />counties in cooperation with the communities in their respective counties. <br />The draft was developed by Michele Timmons of our County Attorney's office, <br />and technical suggestions from your legal counsel should be directed to her, <br />in care of the Ramsey County Attorney, or on 298 -5686. Your response by <br />July 17 would enable us to make any necessary changes and transmit it officialy <br />for execution before August 1. The second part of the draft agreement is for <br />those communities with an HRA. Because they have legal authority in the area <br />of housing and redevelopment, it is necessary to execute an agreement with <br />any existing HRA's in addition to the general unit of local government. If <br />there is no HRA in your community, you may disregard this item. <br />The second attachment is for your use in explaining the program. The summary <br />is a description of eligible activities taken from Dakota county's information. <br />The other part is a listing of projects being conducted in Dakota and Anoka <br />counties using CDBG funds. <br />If you encounter questions you are unable to answer in discussing this program, <br />please communicate them to Karen Gauger or Duane Johnson of my staff and we <br />will try to get answers for you. <br />I look forward to meeting with you again on August 8, 1985. <br />Sincerely, <br />Attachments <br />RLB /DJ /mjw <br />Richard L.
