Approval Of The Minutes McDonalds MINUTES OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA June 13, 1985 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 13th day of June, 1985 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said City. Chairman Peter Costa called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. and the following members were present at roll call: MEMBERS PRESENT: MEMBERS ABSENT: Mr. Peter Costa Mr. Gene DeLonais Mrs. Karolyn Kingsbury Mr. Roy French Mr. Thomas Perlinger Mrs. Sharon Timmons Mr. Bill Davison Mr. Thomas Ducharme Mr. Art Herkenhoff ALSO PRESENT: City Planner, Mr. Steve Grittman Recording Secretary, Mrs. Kathleen Glanzer There being no corrections to the minutes of the May Planning Commission, Mr. Costa indicated that the minutes were approved as read. Mr. Tim Chapman and Ms. Kay Kassinger, representing McDonalds, appeared before the Commission. Kassinger requested approval for a curb cut on Minnesota Avenue to service McDonalds drive - through lane. Kassinger commented that she felt that the curb cut would improve the traffic flow on the site and pointed out that there is now a traffic signal at Rice and Minnesota. Mrs. Timmons asked about the pull -off spots for special orders. Kassinger replied that cars using these spots would hack into the traffic lane. Kassinger felt that there was adequate room to handle this. Mrs. Timmons recommended that approval be granted for the additional curb cut requested by McDonalds. Motion seconded by Mr. French. Motion carried 6 - 0. Kassinger requested approval of an additional pylon sign on the McDonalds property. The sign is planned for the back corner of the parking lot so it would be visible from Highway 36. 'a, e -1-
