City of Vermillion - 1977 <br />Ordinance Regulating the Use and Operation of Open Sales and /or Rental Lots <br />for Motor Vehicles (New or Used). This ordinance categorized new and used <br />car sales into Class 1 and Class 2 Open Sales Lots. In order to obtain a <br />City license for a Class 1 new and used car operation, the following conditions <br />had to be met: <br />1. At least one -third of stock had to be new. <br />2. Minimum lot width of 125 feet. <br />3. Open sales lot area for storage or display not to exceed two (2) <br />square feet for every one (1) square foot of building. <br />For a Class 2 operation: <br />1. Must apply for used sales lot permit annually. <br />2. All used merchandise smaller than cars must be inside of building. <br />Class 1 and 2 Open Sales Lots can be located in commercial districts only. <br />City of Hopkins - 1966 <br />Ordinance to Regulate Dealers of Motor Vehicles stated that at least one <br />repair shop had to be provided as a condition of obtaining a license. <br />USED CAR SALES <br />Roseville: With Now Car Sales <br />Exception: Rental Car Agency may sell their cars. <br />Vadnais Heights: With New Car Sales <br />Two areas are grandfathered in to sell used cars. <br />Maplewcod: With New Car Sales as a permitted use. <br />Used Car Sales only with a conditional use permit. <br />White Bear Lake: Used Car Sales permitted in a B -3 zoned district. <br />(In White Bear Lake a B -3 District in an auto <br />oriented district.) <br />New Car Sales permitted in a B -3 zoned district. <br />Car sales only permitted in a B -3 District <br />52 <br />
