Office of:
JOSEPH G. CHLEBECK, Clerk
515 Little Canada Road
Little Canada, Minn. 55117
484 -2177
CITY OF LITTLE CANADA
RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA
TO: Mayor and City Council
FROM: Bud Nagovsky
DATE: December 5, 1985
RE: Metal Buildings in R & B Districts and
Building Additions in I -P District
I have read the amendment concerning metal exteriors on
buildings in the R & B Districts. My suggestions would be
as follows:
1. No pole type or engineered steel buildings with
metal exteriors (walls or roof) over 120 sq. ft.
shall be allowed.
2. Residential type aluminum, steel or fiberglass
horizontal siding shall be allowed.
3. As stated in the amendment draft.
I think this would insure that pole barn type siding and
roofing won't be used and every type of acceptable siding
won't have to be listed.
In order to be fair in all of the districts in the
ordinance, perhaps a noncomforming clause should be added
to the I -P District. Paragraph 3 of the Building
Construction Amendment would probaby suffice, with the
additional words after the word expand, to a maximum of 25%
of the principal structure with similar materials of the
existing structure.
LN:bj
8
MAYOR
Michael Fahey
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Bill Blesener
Rick Collova
Mugs Nardini
