1o. <br />Mid - density development shall be encouraged on a planned unit basis <br />and shall specifically include provisions for traffic circulation that <br />would mitigate any adverse affects on existing single family residential <br />neighborhoods. <br />11 . Prohibit residential development on wetlands, and other natural features <br />that perform important protection functions in their natural state. <br />12. Locate multiple family housing in areas not inferior to those generally <br />used for conventional single family housing. <br />13. Limit mobile homes to mobile hone parks and encourage the highest <br />possible standard of design and ensure adequate accessory and <br />supportive facilities be included. <br />RESIDENTIAL - PRESERVATION <br />1. Enact and uniformly enforce a Housing Maintenance Code in order to <br />protect the health and safety of occupants and ensure the on -going <br />stability of residential neighborhoods. <br />2. Ensure the uniform application of rental housing standards which require <br />adequate landscaping and building and grounds maintenance. Periodically <br />review s uch standards in order to ensure that they are effectively <br />meeting their intended purposes. <br />3. Residential amenities now required through zoning and subdivision <br />regulations shall be maintained. <br />4. Neighborhood preservation efforts shall be coordinated with and channeled <br />through individual defined neighborhoods. <br />COMMERCIAL - GENERAL <br />1. Develop commercial and service centers as cohesive, highly interrelated <br />units with adequate off - street parking and modern functional facilities. <br />2. Ensure that service and commercial uses are adequately and appropriately <br />landscaped according to community requirements as may be amended. <br />3.
