Our old office has already been demolished, and our new one is under construc- tion. Unfortunately, it is possible the new facil- ity may not prove to be satisfactory. We have tried to protect the Court's concerns and needs, but from the beginning the city administration has been unco- operative at best, and the facility that is currently emerging appears to have some drastic flaws, from our perspective. 3) Maplewood - This facility presents our most pressing problem. The city is constructing a new building, without space for the Court, and occupancy is sche- duled for July 7, 1986. They have already informed us that we should probably plan on vacating our cur- rent location by the first of July. We are working with the County Property Management Director, Mr. Paul Thone, to examine our options in this regard. The foregoing represents a brief encapsulation of the situation to date. It would still appear that the most practical and effective solution would be a single suburban service center, with space for at least three (possibly four) judges, cleri- cal support personnel, and - ideally - other county functions.
