202.020. RESIDENT WITHOUT ELECTIVE OFFICE. Each member of the <br />Advisory Planning Commission shall be a resident of the City who does not hold <br />any elective office. <br />202.030. TERM OF OFFICE. Each member shall be appointed by the <br />Council and shall hold office until their successors are appointed, the term <br />of such office to be at the discretion of the City Council. <br />202.040. NO COMPENSATION. The Advisory Planning Commission shall <br />serve without compensation and they shall elect a chairman from among their <br />own membership, and shall meet at the times and places they may determine. <br />202.050. CLERK FOR COMMISSION. The City Clerk shall act as Clerk for <br />the Commission unless other personnel is authorized by the Council. <br />202.060. CITY ENGINEER AND ATTORNEY COOPERATION. The City Engineer <br />and the City Attorney shall be ex- officio members of the Commission, but shall <br />not be entitled to vote as such. All City inspectors and other regular <br />employees or personnel of the City shall cooperate with the Advisory Planning <br />Commission and make themselves available and attend meetings when requested to <br />do so. <br />202.070. RECOMMENDATIONS OF COMMISSION. The Advisory Planning <br />Commission shall, pursuant to Council directives., Council resolutions, or City <br />'ordinances, propose, draft or recommend, overall or partial plans for future <br />physical development and improvement of the City, including all matters <br />relating to zoning and planning as cities are authorized and empowered to <br />undertake pursuant to state statutes and laws. This Commission shall also <br />consider all plats submitted by private property owners, all plans and <br />proposals for development of private or public property within the City, and <br />shall advise the Council on any and all matters referred to it by the <br />Council. <br />202.080. NO FINAL AUTHORITY. All action of the Advisory Planning <br />Commission shall be in the nature of recommendations to the City Council, and <br />the said Commission shall have no final authority with reference to any <br />matters except as the Council may lawfully delegate authority to it. <br />202.090. EXPENSES. The Council shall provide, out of available City <br />funds, for ordinary and necessary expenses of the Advisory Planning <br />Commission. <br />36 <br />
