City of Little Canada, Minnesota Management Report, Page 37 Summary The following is a summary of the items to be recorded, investigated and /or resolved during 1986. • Continue to monitor legislative actions which can affect the financing of City government. (Page 1) • Approve and record the December 31, 1985 audited account balances on the City's financial accounting system. (Pages 8 to 9) • Continue to monitor the collection rates of property taxes and special assessments. (Pages 9 to 12) • Continue to maintain and monitor specially deferred special assessments. (Page 12) • Consider drawing down additional MSA monies for maintenance. (Pages 13 to 14) • Review the benefits of establishing a fund for street and storm sewer replace- ment. (Pages 14 to 15) • Begin a policy of Capital Replacement /Acquisition budgeting. (Page 16) • Continue efforts to define and maintain adequate General Fund reserve balances. (Pages 17 to 21) • Review the procedures used in budgeting revenue for the City's General Fund. (Page 21) • Continue efforts to monitor rules and regulations related to Revenue Sharing and plan for substitute financing of expenditures which had been funded by that program. (Pages 22 to 23) • Take action to close the Fire Truck Acquisition Fund in 1986 through a transfer from the General Fund. (Page 27) • Approve a transfer from the General Fund to the Interim Construction Fund to finance the cost of the City Hall sprinkling system. (Page 28) • At least annually, review projects in the Interim Construction Fund to update project status. (Page 28) • Take action to finance the Computer Acquisition Fund upon final completion in 1986.
