MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
MARCH 13, 2013
Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2013 -3 -92 — AUTHORIZING THE PARKS &
RECREATION COMMISSION TO CHANGE THEIR MEETING
START TIME TO 6:30 P.M. AS REQUESTED
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss.
Ayes (4).
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
YOU McGraw asked for more information relative to the request by the
TUBE Cable TV Producer to create a You'1'ube Account for the City. The
CHANNEL Administration reported that YouTube channel would make short videos
(under 10 minutes) and public service announcements (30 -60 seconds)
more accessible to residents and would be more efficient. These are
currently programmed on the City's Cable Channel 16, but are not listed
in the playback schedule due to their short length. Having video available
on- demand via YouTube would allow residents to watch short programs at
their convenience.
WEB SITE The City Administrator reported that the process for upgrading the City's
UPGRADES web site has begun. He noted, however, that the City does not have an
archive of year -round pictures, and it may take some time to accumulate
these. The pictures will be used on the new banners for the web site. Keis
suggested that pictures could be solicited from residents. The
Administrator agreed, and suggested that a request for pictures could be
included in the City newsletter. Another option would be to have
someone take pictures. The Administrator also reported that there is
another option that GovOffice offers for web site upgrade at a cost of
$4,000 versus the $2,000 already agreed to. This upgraded option is being
investigated to determine if the additional features appear to be of benefit.
If so, additional information will be provided to the Council.
ADJOURN
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at t:10 p.m.
dd /fa
Attest:
Rick Montour, A2'ng Mayor
anson, City Administrator
7
