I- Janson
Jeff Young came in to city offices today with more information pertaining to the Master
Sign Plan for 401 -407 S. Owasso Blvd. Mr. Young indicated that the four signs staff did
not receive sign details on would not be part of the master sign plan. Additionally, Mr.
Young submitted a request for a "future" free - standing sign. The request is for a free-
standing sign up to the maximum allowed by city code. A site plan was submitted
showing a tentative location for the free- standing sign. Mr. Young was made aware in
the future when the free- standing sign is installed it would be subject to applicable city
standards and codes (i.e. Materials, Setbacks), plus a permanent sign permit would be
required.
Based on the revised information submitted by Mr. Young today, the proposed signs are
as follows:
North Wall: one sign, 80 sq ft rectangular (Fetch Me Later)
East Wall: one sign, 40 sq ft rectangular (NCS)
South Wall: one sign on canopy, 94 sq ft rectangular (Fetch Me Later)
South Wall: one sign, 12 sq ft rectangular (NCS)
Freestanding: Up to Maximum — 20 ft high and up to 145 area sq ft
This totals 371 square feet of signage requested under the Master Sign Plan for this
location. This is a little over 8% of what would be allowed under the 15% standard.
The site plan shows two additional window signs. Window signs under city code are not
counted as part of the overall allowable signage. City staff reviewed window signage
code requirements with Mr. Young to ensure those do not exceed 20% of the window
area when they are installed.
Staff recommends approval of the Master Sign Plan as revised by Mr. Young.
