are again with the same issues and without an acceptable resolution with the abutting
homeowners. It is clear the City is pushing this development through without regard for
the surrounding homeowners because of their involvement in the property with the use
of Tiff financing for the property purchases. Tonight you are slipping an important
aspect of the approval process for this development into the agenda without notice to
the surrounding property owners to approve the development plan in order to send it out
for bids. The final plat has not yet been approved. The owners of the properties with
development potential along the easement have lived on their properties and payed
taxes as citizens of Little Canada for 26 -50+ years. Our voices should not be discarded
in order to push a development through quickly with a preferred developer.
I believe the street easement vacation should be tabled until all properties effected have
come to an agreement with the city and the developer. The City Council should not be
approving the plat tonight as it stands in order to facilitate bids until the property
development issues are resolved and the final platt is approved.
Jan & Mike Bilek
