S. of T.H. 694 in Little Canada
Water Utility Relocation Agreement
Telephone 779 -1178
Ng@EPZ'r0
JUL 9 1986
CITY OF
LITTLE CANADA
This letter confirms the verbal commitment made by Karl Rasmussen
of this office concerning the relocation of the existing watermain adjacent
to Rice Street at the above referenced location in Little Canada.
We have been notified by the Utilities Section of the Office of Right
of Way in our Central Office that the City will not be required to
reimburse the Department of Transportation for any of the costs associated
with the relocation of this facility. Our Railroad Negotiations Unit did
obtain copies of permits from both the Burlington Northern and Soo Line
Railroads, allowing the City to maintain watermain crossings across
their respective rights of way. It will be necessary for Little Canada
to obtain revised permits from each railroad, reflecting the new location
of the utility crossings.
A revised utility agreement will be forwarded to the City within the
next day or two, reflecting the changes discussed above. With these
modifications, we trust the Council will grant plan approval for our S.
P. 6214 -64 project at its regular meeting this evening. Should you have
any questions concerning the revised agreement, please contact Mr, Len
Sandstrom, at 297 -1870.
Sincerely,
Kermit K.
