The City Engineer <br />REVIEW presented a proposed Erosion and Sediment Control Ordinance which is <br />modeled after the NEMO standards. The Engineer reviewed the purpose <br />of this ordinance which is to control or eliminate storm water pollution <br />along with soil erosion and sedimentation within the City. He noted that <br />the ordinance establishes standards and specifications for conservation <br />practices and planning activities designed to minimize nonpoint source <br />pollution, soil erosion, and sedimentation. <br />The Engineer reviewed the General Requirements section of the proposed <br />ordinance which establishes general criteria for all sites regardless of size. <br />These criteria include silt fencing, street sweeping/cleaning, and stock <br />piles for any and all land disturbance projects that will result in drainage <br />impacts to neighboring properties, waterways, wetlands, water bodies, <br />
