August 29, 1986
Dear Resident:
On July 25 a letter was submitted to residents of East Rose
Place and Lakeshore Avenue requesting your opinions on whether
or not East Rose Place and Lakeshore Avenue should be overlaid
this year or not. There was very little response to this
inquiry, and the City again is requesting your opinion in this
matter.
The City's Maintenance Department is of the opinion that the
overlay should be done now, or within a few years a complete
road reconstruction would be necessary.
At the Hearing on July 2 there was some confusion on this matter
as to cost. The overlay is still $6.50 per ft. as compared to
$35.00 per ft. for a new street. This matter will be on the
agenda for the City Council meeting of September 10, 1986.
Please return the attached questionnaire on or before September \
r'10. Enclosed is a stamped, self- addressed envelope. If you do
pot responds it is understood that you are in avor
roject.
Yours sincerely,
oseph G. Chlebeck
Clerk- Treasurer
__ I do not want my street overlaid.
i would like my street overlaid at a cost of $6.50
per front foot to be assessed against my property.
Signature of Property Owner
Address
1 i.
