Michael Fahey, Mayor <br />City of Little Canada <br />2923 Labore Road <br />Little Canada, MN 55109 <br />Dear Mayor Fahey: <br />pf,rgt2[014 <br />NOV 19 1686 <br />CITY OF <br />LITTLE CANADA <br />This Is a formal request for the City of Little Canada to become <br />a partner In the Saint Paul East Metro Economic Development <br />(SEED) Council, a Joint venture of the Chambers of Commerce and <br />municipalities In the eastern half of the Twin Cities <br />metropolitan area for enonomic develoment promotion. <br />The plan for this Council Is described in the attached "Joint <br />Venture Proposal." Your community's contribution to this Joint <br />venture would be: <br />1. To provide economic development information about the <br />community, such as demographics, current developments, <br />development sites available, and other information relevant <br />to handling development prospects. <br />2. To provide Information about the process of economic <br />development In your community, such as the type of <br />development that your community encourages, the types of <br />assistance that the municipality provides to development <br />prospects, and the steps a prospect must go through to get a <br />development approved. <br />3. To provide financial support to the Joint venture at a <br />suggested rate of $2,500 (minimum) to $5,000 per year, <br />budgeted for at least three (3) years. First year funds <br />should be remitted to the "Saint Paul East Metro Marketing <br />Fund ", In care of the Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce, <br />at the above address. <br />64 <br />
