-10- <br />IX. STANDING COMMITTEES <br />There shall be existing under this agreement the <br />Section 1. ointed <br />following three (3) standing committees which shall be app <br />by the board within 90 days of the effective date of this agree- <br />ment: <br />a) Law Enforcement Communications Advisory Committee <br />b) Fire Services Communications Advisory Committee <br />c) Emergency Medical Services Communications Advisory Committee <br />Section2. The membership of each standing committee shall <br />consist of one member from each law enforcement, firefighting, <br />and emergency medical services agency, respectively, providing <br />emergency services in any part of suburban Ramsey County. <br />Section 3. The memebers of each standing committee shall <br />elect their own chairman. The duly elected chairman of each <br />standing committee shall serve, without vote, on the board of <br />SRCECB. <br />IX. ASSOCIATES <br />Section I. It is recognized that certain governmental units <br />do not qualify for membership or which choose not to be members <br />may desire to follow and participate in the activities of SRCECB <br />as a form for input into system design and other characteristics <br />which may be valuable in maintaining a complete coordinated public <br />safety emergency communication system. Such governmental units <br />may affiliate with SRCECB as "associates." <br />Section 2. A governmental unit desiring to become an <br />associate may do so in the same manner as is required to become <br />a member, except as otherwise provided in this article. <br />0 0 3 2 <br />
