They have not yet reached
a final decision as to whether they will apply on their own,
join with Scott - Carver Economic Council or continue with Metro
HRA.
Washington: Contact Robert Felland
Lakes & Pines' C.A.C.
1- 679 -1800 (Mora)
Current Metro HRA
Participating Communities: Contact Chuck Ballentine or
Phil Katzung
Metro HRA
Contact the above organizations for details of their operating
procedures and information about any required actions on the part
of the city to assure the availab4lity of Grant funds.
For those communities who are interested in joining Metro HRA, here
are some advantages of participating in that program: (1) Metro HRA
offers the option of local staffing or the use of Metro staff if
local personnel are unavailable; (2) program start -up training will
be provided, as well as advertising suggestions, inspection possibili-
ties, cost estimating procedures, and verification procedures; (3)
Metro HRA has the capability of reallocating unused funds among the
participating communities. This year, approximately $20,000 will
be reallocated from communities unable to use all of their funds to
communities demonstrating greater needs. A Resolution to join with
Metro HRA is attached.
Please let us know by July 1, 1977 if you intend to join with Metro
HRA for the Program, so that the application can be prepared and
submitted by the deadline.
0042
