TESTS • DAIRY PRODUCTS • SOIL • <br />FEED `RATER <br />PHONE (507) 354 3517 <br />Municipal Clerk <br />CENTER & GERMAN STREETS, NEW ULM, MINNESOTA 56073 <br />February 1977 <br />June 24, 1977 the Federal Public Drinkino Water Act will become effective. <br />This act will reouire all communities to submit water samples each month <br />to a laboratory approved by the Minnesota Department of Health. minnesota <br />Valley Testing Laboratories is an approved laboratory. <br />The number of samples each community is to submit is determined by the <br />population of the comainity. <br />The Minnesota Department of Health will make determinations of Total <br />Coliform Bacteria on one sample each month. It is the resnansihility of the <br />communities to have an approved laboratory make determinations of Total <br />Coliform Bacteria of all samples not run by the Minnesota Department of Health. <br />The samples required under the Public Drinking Water Act are distribution <br />samples only. The Minnesota Department of Health is recommending a voluntary <br />schedule of well sample analyses he submitted to the laboratory. <br />Your community population i s 1 4 ) 1 , the required number of <br />distrihution samples are `{ ; One by the Minnesota Department of Health <br />and 3 by an approved laboratory. Recommended well analyses can be <br />determined by the number of operating wells on the day of testing or by <br />alternating the wells monthly. <br />Minnesota Valley Testing Laboratories is a full service laboratory <br />capable of providing a wide range of Chemical and Bacterial analyses en <br />Water and wastewater.
