Bob DeBace will
get the engineer to look at the area next week and make recommendations
to alleviate the problem. Bill Sanders suggested steel stakes driven
below service of the ground may hold the blacktop or concrete better.
Bill Sanders will have the specs ready for
road d
ore May 1 meeting ffor
the plantings and parking lot # 3 and
Priorities again
ih w
have tohbe considered, we are not going to be able
to do all the
Bill Sanders suggested we drop the blacktopping of Parking Lot 1 and
put the money into repair of the trails. Jim Morelan felt it might
not take more than $ 1000.00 to repair the trails.
The building to house equipment for the care of the park was again
discussed. Larry Saiko will get competitive bids for floor (blacktop
and concrete) and on the lumber and labor to construct a 28 X 24 bldg.
Jean Donovan asked that we consider moving the satelite now ajacent
to Eli Road and that we consider planting small trees along the fence
by the ball park. It is believed the fence may be on road right of
way and the snow in the winter would kill anything that may be
planted there. ,The satelite is to be eliminated.
T,7urf Jesperson suggested that he and Bill Sanders meet with Midwest
Planning representive to the city Dave Lick with regard to grants
for park improvements. To meet as soon as possible.
After discussion on the Park'Ordinance Dick Boss rescinded his motion
of March 9 relative to recommendations to the city council on
membership on the Park Commission and on the terms of office each
should have.
