January 4, 1978
FIRST STATE BANK OF SAINT PAUL
1000 PAYNE AVENUE • ST. PAUI., MINNESOTA 55101 • 612 - 778 -2600
Little Canada City Council
515 E. Little Canada Road
Little Canada, Minnesota 55117
Attention: Councilman Robert DeBace
Gentlemen:
At the present time this Bank anticipates opening its Little Canada
Branch in temporary facilities on the site the Bank has acquired at
2850 Rice Street. After the facility opens, it is probable that the
auto traffic will substantially increase on the east -west privately
owned road that bounds the Bank's property on the north side. This
activity will likely extend from Rice Street to the extreme east end
of the Market Place Shopping Center service road as well as the two
north -south streets from Little Canada Road entering the Market Place.
In order to facilitate the continued maintenance of the streets, this
Bank respectfully requests that these streets be dedicated to the city
if the proper arrangements can be made with the present owners. It is
further requested that the present one -way street immediately north of
the Bank's property be changed to permit traffic to flow in both
directions with a no parking ban to exist. We have provided for parking
space to serve the temporary facility and of course we'll have ample
space after completion of the permanent building.
Please advise the undersigned of any questions you may have in this
matter.
Very truly yours,
1'
Richard B. Nadeau
Vice President
RBN /skp
auto
