Soo Line Railroad Company
June 4, 1975
Mr. Joseph Chlebeck
Clerk
City of Little Canada
515 Little Canada Road
Little Canada, Minnesota 55117
Dear Mr. Chlebeck:
Soo Line Building
Box 530
Minneapolis, Minnesota 55440
(612) 332 -1261
Engr.File: WP- h -1 -54
XIEFFP3
JUN 4 1975
CITY Or
LITTLE CANADA
Re: Old Co.Rd. "C" Bridge
Over Soo Line Tracks
City of Little Canada
Reference is made to your letter of April 15th, 1975,
on the above bridge and your request that it remain in place as
a pedestrian crosswalk.
As you may know, the Public Service Commission issued
an Order, R -2728, D -962 in 1969, which required the Soo Line to
remove this bridge after the new County Road "C" route is opened
to Traffic. With the new route now being opened, our plans are
to remove the structure. However, we would be willing to leave
it in place provided that the City of Little Canada would assume
complete ownership, present and future maintenance and recon-
struction of the structure; and providing the Public Service
Commission grants a revision to their Order.
Please advise within 30 days if the above is agreeable
to the city.
DIK:is
Yours very truly,
B.
