Anklan <br />Ramsey County Engineer <br />502 Court House <br />Saint Paul, Minnesota 55102 <br />Dear Mr. Anklan: <br />3377 Rice Street <br />Saint Pout Minn. 55112 <br />March 4,1975 <br />The Joint Powers Agreement No. 57577 (entered into by Ramsey County (July 2, <br />1973, Resolution 9-1805) with the Metropolitan Council, Metropolitan Transit <br />Commission, The Municipalities of White Bear Lake, Maplewood, Little Canada, <br />Vadnais Heights, North Saint Paul and Gen Lake, and the Minnesota Highway <br />Department) for the performance of a transportation study of the northeast <br />section of the metropolitan area designates Ramsey County as the contracting <br />aeencye <br />As the contracting agency, Ramsey County has entered into an agreement with <br />the consulting engineer for the performance of the work. The consulting <br />engineer, Barton- Aschman Associates, Inc. has been selected by the Northeast <br />Task Force. <br />This agreement provides that the consultant shall furnish to the Task Force <br />five (.5) test system assignments using data, input and constraints provided <br />by the Task Forcemembers. This section of the work program is now complete. <br />it has been agreed by sever@ of the municipalities that the issue of land <br />use c trcl can not be aderessed with the test systems available. We are <br />therefore requesting that the contract be overrun to a1164 for a minimum of <br />one (1) and possibly two (2) additional test systems. The cost, of these <br />additional systems will vary from $500 - $1500 depending on the work re- <br />quired. This cost will be shared equally by the communities submitting <br />this letter of request. <br />The share of each community shall be paid to the County of Hersey, as con- <br />tracting agent, as the payment is required to be made by the County of Ram- <br />sey to the consultant firm as pursuant to the contract.
