J)N 13 1915
CITY OF
LITTLE CANADA
Mr. J. Chlebeck
Clerk- Village of Little Canada
Little Canada, Minn.
Dear Mr. Chlebeck,
January 10, 1975
1811 Summit Ave
St Paul, Minn 55105
Re: Drainage pond behind 180 -210 County Rd. B2.
Further to our discussion at a special meeting, October,74, with
your engineer, Mr. Dropps and Mr. Erickson, it was understood
that Mr. Dropps would explore the feasibility of deepening the
ponding area behind the apartments, and contact the Village for
further action.
At a meeting with Mr. Dropps two weeks ago, he described how he
sent a "cat" into the area and was unable to work because of the
soft bed in the pond. In fact, two such machines got stuck in
the same way; therefore, nothing more was done.
With the heavy snowfall and anticIpated spring rains adding to the
surface drainage from adjacent properties I am very concerned about
water damage to our apartment buildings if no action is taken by
spring of this year.
I respectfully urge that the Village-and it's engineering department
consider again measures to solve the problem of water build up in
the pond by whatever means necessary.
Please let me hear from you.
Respectfully,
r
M.A. Tanasichuk
so
page -24
