ORDINANCE NO. 131 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE LITTLE CANADA CODE BY <br />ADDING A NEW CHAPTER 2001. ADOPTION BY REFERENCE <br />OF THE MINNESOTA UNIFORM FIRE CODE. <br />THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LI'TTT.F CANADA DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. That the Municipal Code of Little Canada is hereby amended by <br />adding a new Chapter 2001. Adoption by reference of the Minnesota Uniform Fire <br />Code to read as follows: <br />"2001. ADOPTION BY REFERENCE OF THE MINNESOTA UNIFORM <br />FIRE CODE. <br />2001.010. ADOPTION OF FIRE CODE. There is hereby adopted by the Council <br />of the City of Little Canada for the purpose of prescribing regulations governing <br />conditions hazardous to life and property from fire or explosion, that certain Code <br />known as the Minnesota Uniform Fire Code, save and except such portions as are <br />hereinafter deleted, modified or amended, of which Code, not less than three (3) <br />copies have been and now are filed in the office of the City Clerk and the same are <br />hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set forth herein. <br />2001.020. ENFORCEMENT. (a) The Chief of the Fire Department serving the <br />City, or his representative authorized by him, shall enforce the provisions of <br />this ordinance. <br />(b) The Chief of the Fire Department may detail such members of the Fire <br />Department as inspectors as shall from time to time become necessary. The Chief of <br />the Fire Department may recommend the employment of technical inspectors, who, when <br />such authorization is made, shall be selected through an examination to determine <br />their fitness for the position. The examination shall be open to members and non- <br />members of the Fire Department and appointments made after examination shall be for <br />an indefinite term with removal only for cause. <br />2001.030. DEFINITIONS. (a) Wherever the word "jurisdiction" is used in the <br />Minnesota Uniform Fire Code, it shall be held to mean the City of Little Canada. <br />(b) Wherever the term "corporation counsel" is used in the Minnesota Uniform <br />Fire Code, it shall be held to mean the attorney for the City of Little Canada. <br />2001.040. ESTABLISHMENT OF LIMITS OF DISTRICTS IN WHICH STORAGE <br />FLAMMABLE OR COMBUSTIBLE LIQUIDS IN OUTSIDE ABOVEGROUND TANKS IS TO BE PROHIBITED. <br />(a) The limits referred to in Section 15.201 of the Minnesota Uniform Fire Code <br />in which storage of flammable or combustible liquids in outside aboveground tanks <br />is prohibited, are hereby established as follows: There shall be no storage of <br />
