May 15, 1976 Dear Members of the Fifty -Five Plus Club, Our May meeting was the last business meeting until September, there- fore I would like to give you information regarding the summer months. Sharing is surely part of the fun in our club. There are many things to accomplish during the summer months. We may share the list of jobs and take part in various activities. June 14 - - -- 500 tournaments - Roseville old City Hall- Games will begin at 1 :00 p.m. To pool rides come to the Little Canada City Center by 12:45 p.m. The entire club is invited. June 13 - - -- Cribbage Tournaments - Roseville old City Hall - Games to begin at 9:30 a.m. To pool rides come to the Little Canada City Center by 9 :15 a.m. The entire club is invited. June 21 - - -- Bicentennial Meeting _ City Center - 8:00 p.m. This is the last meeting. Please let us know if you care to ride in the parade. Those signed -up to date are King and Queen, Phil and Clara Ducharme, Lillian Linden, Anna Ducharme, Betty and Julious Sherman. If you plan to ride in the parade, Bicentennial Clothing is desireable. June 24 - - - -• Baseball - Twins vs Chicago at the gate. 2.25 for box seats, $1.75 adission. Bus reservations by June 10. - Bus 1.25. Buy your ticket reserved seat. $1.00 genera- call 484 -2765 or 484 -9739 July - 3 - 4 - - -- Bicentennial - America's Birthday Party. Take an active part. Senior Citizens Fare Share Booth and Fifty -Five Plus Giant Birthday Cake Booth. Sign -up for the following shifts. 12 :00 to 3100 3:00 to 6:00 6:00 to closing . Mary Pechler is chairman of the Fare Share Booth. Call 483 -1079 to offer your help and if you have some -thing to sell. This booth will give all seniors Citizens an opportunity to sell articles they make -- crafts, knitting, bird houses ect July 1? - - -- Pot -luck noon luncheon - Bob Thibault's - 2199 Edgerton 11 :30 a.m. Bring your favorite hot dish, salad, or goodies. July 13 - 14 - 15 - -- Ladies retreat - Kings House - Buffalo, Mn. Bus leaves from St. John's at 12100 noon Tuesday july 13 Call 483•5991 for reservations. Note- I will be leaving after the meeting at Bob Thibaultc. Your welcome to ride to Buffalo with me. July 15 - - -- Visit the Cedar Lake Farm.
