Little Canada Road <br />St. Paul, MN 55117 <br />18 Fourth Avenue S.E. <br />St. Cloud, Minnesota 56301 <br />251 -7751 <br />314 Oak St. <br />Sauk Centre, Minnesota 56378 <br />352 -3664 <br />Gentlemen: <br />We have estimated the cost of improving to State Aid Standards <br />for that section of Country Drive between Spruce Street and the <br />railroad tracks and a partial improvement from the railroad <br />tracks to South Owasso Boulevard. <br />Where State Aid Funds are used, the State Standards for Street <br />Construction must be conformed to. The Standards include a <br />minimum bituminous thickness of 3", concrete curb & gutter, <br />drainage structures and a standard width of 44' between curbs. <br />Under certain restrictive right -of -way conditions 36' between <br />gutters may be allowed. <br />Because of steep existing slopes and the freeway right -of -way <br />fence, it appears that we should stick to the existing 36' width. <br />We estimate the cost of a complete State Aid street between Spruce <br />Street and the railroad tracks to be as follows: <br />44 foot street width $103,000.00 <br />36 foot street width $ 81,000.00 <br />The above costs include grade correction, existing bituminous base <br />correction, concrete curb & gutter, a minimum of 3" of bituminous <br />surface and turf established. Also miscellaneous overhead costs <br />such as Engineering, legal, fiscal and administration. <br />We have also estimated the cost of improving that section south <br />from the railroad tracks to South Owasso Boulevard. <br />-1- <br />
