The area in question was studied in 1976 <br />along with the residential area on the east side which did receive a <br />barrier. <br />We have been aware of the resident's interest in obtaining a noise barrier <br />for some tine. A noise measurement was recently obtained on September 19, <br />1979 at 243 E. Demont. Previous measurements (1977) at this site and this <br />recent measurement were similar; L10 68 dBA. According to our abatement <br />program criteria, focussing on the noisiest cases first, this reading <br />would place this area very low in any future program. <br />This request will be kept on file until such time as we receive further <br />direction from the Legislature. <br />Sincerely, <br />/ Douglas H.
