/1.7/79
City of Little Canada,
We are writing to inform the necessary parties of an
existing condition on our property.
Our lot is located southeast of the corner of LaBore
and Edgerton at 2815 Lakeside Court. On the west side of
the lot there is a culvert pipe opening which carries the
run -off from Edgerton Street. The property owner abutting
our property (Originally owned by Ronald Blomquist) gave
the county an easement to run the culvert under his property.
however, we have lived hete for 6 years and did not know the
culvert pipe was there until the heavy rains this past summer.
We were not told of the pipe nor is it shown on the plot of
our land or mentioned in the deed.
This property is worthless to us while the water is
draining into it and it is causing an erosion of our front
yard. While this is a problem, the major one is the selling
and filling of lots along the west side of Lakeside Court
(which is being done at the present). If any more filling
is done, it would block off the natural drainage anE then
there would be a possibility of flooding.
The city of Little Canada and the County have been
kept informed of this problem since last summer. We want
something done about this or we will have to bring suit
against the li able parties. We do not feel it is right that
we should be paying taxes on land that the city and county
are using for a holding pond. The culvert belongs on Edger-
ton not on private property.
You may contact us at 483 -5639 or 776 -3373 if more
information is necessary.
Sincerely,
NrgatiZi
JAN ].9 1979
CITY OF
LITTLE CANADA
