3/22/80 Michael Kirkpatrick Halkiri: Companies 10709 Wayzata Blvd, 'linnetonka, MN Dear Mr. Kirkpatrick: I appreciate your efforts to resolve the backed up water situation at the Provinces 155 Little Canada Rd., Little Canada, 'N. As Health Inspector for the City of Little Canada I ;'ant to list those problems which I observed on a site visit to the Pronvinces on March 20, 1980 and ask if you plan to deal with problems yet unresolved. Problem A 1. Iced up storm sewer on the Province property 2. Backed up water going into apartments. 3. Soaked carpets, rugs and liners in some basement apartments. 4. Offensible odor in an apartment and in the southern hallway. 5. Backed up water from sanitary pipes in the kitchen of one apartment. 6. Backed up water from sanitary line in the bathroom of one apartment (previous occasion) Site Observations - A resident of the Provinces allowed me to observe in their apartment rotted wood under the rug in the living room, sand on the floor in the bathroom, (which they believe to have cone up out of the toilet) and rotted wood on the bottom of the bathroom cabinet. I discussed with the resident the frequency of the backups and he stated the bathroom backup had occurred a month ago. Since I'm really unsure of the seriousness of these problems at this time thoug':-t it seems they are neither major or emergency health problems, I will be conferring with County and State Health officials to confirm this opinion. In the meantime the resident manager has assured me that steps have been taken and are planned to resolve the problems listed above.
