The permission from <br />the City was oral. more fill is necessary, however, to brina <br />the lots up to the intended elevation. Sufficient fill is <br />now available to complete the work and is stockniled a short <br />distance away on property which is known as Gervais Chores <br />2nd Addition. If this fill cannot he moved to the nr-onerty <br />in question, it will have to he hauled away elsewhere and <br />wasted. <br />As a result of the fill previously placed, a lagoon, or holding <br />pond, was created. This together with the drainage ditch to <br />the lagoon provided a service to the community assisting <br />drainage for a substantial area. <br />As you know, "r. Hammond lived in Little Canada for 25 <br />years before moving to Sun galley, Idaho. He and his wife <br />are almost 80 years of age and would like to return to the <br />area to he near to their daughter, son -in -law, grandchildren <br />and great - grandchildren. The Hammonds' daughter and son-in-law <br />live adjacent to the Hammonds' old home on Take cervais. <br />Mr. Hammond's primary desire is to complete the filling of <br />the property in question and then build a home for himself <br />and Mrs. Hammond on the most Westerly lot on the South side <br />of the lagoon.
