Not living there ourselves, we did not realize
the magnitude of the problem.
When we purchased the duplex in 1978, three families were residing there. We
have inquired often about rezoning, but were told of the moratorium on re-
zoning. The young man who rents a small efficiency unit in the building is a
handicapped individual who has lost part of one leg and his fingertips.
It would be a hardship for him to move.
Since we are first -time rental property owners, we did not realize we could
apply for a special use permit for our building. We would like to apply for
a special use permit at this time.
We have attempted to keep the duplex and yard neat and well -kept. Repairs
have been made where needed. We are also asking for references from all
prospective tenants. If any more problems arise with renters, we will evict
those causing the disruption.-
Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
erely,
7rp LG- -;-n-
..//Joe Brinkman
/cc /L.E.
