mar aret arzorf - schubbe December 28, 1979 Raymond Hanson Mayor, City of Little Canada City Hall 515 Little Canada Road Little Canada, MN 55117 Dear Mayor Hanson: As Mayor of a Minnesota city, you have probably been informed of the Minnesota Government Building Grants Program from the Minnesota Energy Agency, or from the League of Minnesota Cities. Through this program your city is eligible for 100 percent of reasonable costs to conduct a mini -audit of your government buildings. Upon completion of this audit, you may be eligible for additional funding to conduct a maxi - audit. As a certified mini - auditor, I would like to offer my services to conduct an audit on your buildings. Funds to pay these services are available from the Minnesota Energy Agency as mentioned above. A mini - audit, if you . are not familiar, consists of a thorough examina- tion of your city buildings to determine what measures can be taken immediately by you and your maintenance staff ):o reduce energy consump- tion. Mini - audits are conducted by a team of people consisting of a certified mini - auditor, you or your city administrator, your maintenance supervisor, an expert in heating and cooling systems, and an expert in electrical systems. (These last two people are volunteers and could be recruited from your community.) The measures outlined during a mini - audit are operating and maintenance procedures which usually do not require capital expenditures to implement. A mini -audit is required before a maxi -audit can be conducted, which ultimately makes your city eligible for capital funds for energy conser- vation improvements. I would be happy to discuss with you this program and my services in greater detail. I am not associated with any company and have become certified through my own interest in energy conservation.
