Ryan
Ryan Landscape Supply Co.
3151 Country Drive
St. Paul, Minnesota 55117
RE: Fly Ash Utilization Project
Dear Mr. Ryan:
This confirms that we have received your plans showing the proposed
placement of some 4,000 cubic yards of University of Minnesota fly
ash on your property in Little Canada, Minnesota.
The Agency position on this proposal is that you should not be allowed
to use fly ash as fill unless the following conditions are met:
1. The Agency receives from the generator an evaluation of the
waste based on current hazardous waste criteria to determine its
hazardous or non - hazardous classification.
2. Water quality of the Rose Gervais well has been sampled and analyzed
for any parameters found excessive in the waste evaluation above.
You still have the option available to fill this 4,000 cubic yard area
with clean earthen materials as specified in previous conversations with
this Agency.
If you have any questions on the above, feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
y
Gerald J.
