B2
City of Little Canada, MN
314 Oak Street
Sauk Centre, Minnesota 56378
352-3664
July 9, 1980
LOCATION: Co. Rd. B2 between Edgerton and Arcade St.
IMPROVEMENT: Watermain and Street Restoration
INITIATION: City Council
[ATUS OF PLANS: None
EASEMENT: Existing Right -of -Way
FEASIBILITY: This proposed project is in itself feasible, however, it
should be considered in connection with several other factors:
1. It is being proposed not because of a demand for
water service since no petition has been received
and, in fact, was rejected by the majority of property
owners in 1979.
2. The primary desire on the part of a few property
owners in the lower elevation is to improve the
existing drainage in the area. This can be accomplished
with the help of certain drainage easements now being
acquired by the City on the Hammond property.
3. We have in the past recommended to the Council that
as a part of any improvement to be made on Co. Rd. B2,
that the watermain should be installed first.
4. The Metro Waste Control Commission is considering a
relief sewer for the Lake Gervais Pump Station. One
of the routes would follow County Road B2. It may be
prudent to delay improvement until this is determined
so as to avoid replacing the street a second time.
