BY LAWS OF ST. PAUL - RAMSEY COUNTY JUSTICE ADVISORY BOARD ARTICLE I NAMES AND DEFINITIONS DRAFT Section 1 NAME The name of this committee is the Justice Advisory Board herein called the Advisory Board. Section 2 BOARD OF RAMSEY COUNTY COMMISSIONERS The Ramsey County Board of Commissioners is herein called County Board. Section 3 CITY OF ST. PAUL The Mayor of St. Paul and the St. Paul City Council are herein called the City of St. Paul. Section 4 ST. PAUL /RAMSEY COUNTY CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING DEPARTMENT The St. Paul /Ramsey County Criminal Justice Planning Department may be referred to herein as the Criminal Justice Planning Department or the Department. Section 5 STANDING COMMITTEES Standing Committees of the Advisory Board shall be permanent committees and are herein identified as: Executive Committee, Juvenile Justice Committee, Adult Justice Committee, Law Enforce- ment Committee, Section 6 Section 7 Section 8 Section 9 Section 10 AD HOC COMMITTEE /TASK FORCE Ad hoc committees and task forces are any committees of the Advisory Board appointed for a limited time and for specific purposes. COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS ACT The Community Corrections Act (CC Act) means the Community Corrections Act of 1973, as amended, Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 401, and as may be amended. RAMSEY COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS PLAN This document refers to the annual plan required by Section 401.02, CC Act. JUSTICE SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT ACT The Justice System Improvement Act herein called the JSIA means Public Law 96 -157 passed by the 96th Congress and signed into law December 27, 1979 and subsequent amendments. LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSISTANCE ADMINISTRATION APPLICATION This document will set forth criminal justice programs covering a 3 -year period which meet the objectives of Section 401 of the JSIA in a manner prescribed by federal guidelines.
