February 6, 1987 City of Little Canada 515 Little Canada Road Little Canada, MN 55117 Attention: Joseph Chlebeck STATE OF MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE RE: NOTICE OF REQUIREMENT FOR TAX CLEARANCE Account Name: MJB, Inc. a /k /a J.S.B S., Inc. a /k /a S.J.& S., Inc. d /b /a Brady's on Rice Street Account Number: 3174273 License Type: Liquor Dear Mr. Chlebeck: On January 28, 1987, a Notice of Requirement for Tax Clearance was delivered to the City of Little Canada for the purpose of denying the transfer of the liquor license from the above named taxpayer. As you are aware, Minnesota Statute 270.72 prohibits the issuance, renewal or transfer of a license upon notification to the licensing authority that the applicant owes delinquent taxes to the State of Minnesota. Only upon receipt of a Tax Clearance Certificate may the licensing authority release the license. The above named account has not paid the delinquent taxes to the State of Minnesota and, as such, a Tax Clearance Certificate will not be issued. Enclosed with this letter is a Denial of Tax Clearance Certificate. It is my understanding that the request for transfer of the liquor license has been rescinded and a new application has now been made by the corporation Brady's of Little Canada, Inc_. At this point in time the Minnesota Department of Revenue has no objection to the issuance of a new license to this corporation. If you have any questions, feel free to contact my office.
