February 2, 1987
northwest associated consLift2 lts, 1
Mrs. Doris Klein
2620 Rice Street
Little Canada, Minnesota 55117
RE: Little Canada Mini- Storage - Fence Construction
File No: 758.09 - 86.05
Dear Mrs. Klein:
FEB A 1961
CITY OF
LITTLE CANADA
The purpose of this letter is to come to an agreement as to the construction
of the fence along your shared boundary with Little Canada Mini- Storage. There
has been confusion and some disagreement on this item, so we need to get every-
thing in writing. My understanding is that on the east, or rear yard area, as
shown on the attached exhibit, the fence is to match that of the boundary line
between the Speedy Market property and your property. On the exhibit, I have
included a sketch of that type of fence. To the west, or front, of the property,
a chain link fence is to be constructed. Such fence, as allowed by the City
Zoning Ordinance, may be up to six (6) feet in height. The exhibit also shows this
portion of the fencing detail. At the point where the Mini - Storage building abuts
the property line, there is no fence recommended on the exhibit, although you
apparently had expected a fence in this location. We do not feel a fence in
this location to serve any purpose, and in fact, would be difficult to build and
maintain.
As the City wishes to pursue enforcement of this item in a timely manner, please
notify the City in writing of your acceptance of this arrangement no later than
9 February 1987. By his absence at the 28 January Council meeting, the developer
expressed his agreement with the terns of our letter of 21 January. We will
proceed to follow -up on this matter once we have received your response. Thank
you for your cooperation in this matter.
Cordially,
NO?
HWE'T ASSOCU\ NSULTANTS, INC.
5tephci Gri'ttman
Senior Designer
cc: Joe Chlebeck, John Palacio, Toin Sweeney, Rat' McCulloch, Michael Fahey
4
C.
