It seems that the <br />"rural- dominated" Legislature is bent on achieving "equity" by shifting funds <br />from the State's cost /effective, lighthouse school districts to small, rural <br />school districts which virtually never can achieve Metro area quality, simply <br />because they lack economy of size. This is not a time to be reticent. <br />Please mobilize everyone you possibly can to call your local legislators and <br />implore them not to support passage of Senate File 583 or any similar bill. <br />As certain as I am dictating this memorandum, I can assure you that passage of <br />Senate Bill 583 will have a permanent, devastating impact on the Roseville <br />Area Schools' programs and services. <br />ap /D28 <br />Page 119 <br />
