Minutes Spa:dal
Meeting 10 /30/72
Becker
Cont.
PACE 2
3. If the proposed road is taken on the
lots, which face Edgerton between Co. Rd. D
and Allen, the proposal will be effected
as follows:
A. The lots to the West will be larger.
B. Easements will be obtained with less
difficulty.
4. When does the Village acquire the land.
A. In the Becker case, we are requesting
a set back of 90 ft if the road is on
all of his property. ( or 60 ft)
B. Will it be by condirnation 7
It was the opinion of the Village attorney that the Village
has the power to adope road plans. The Village can acquire such easements
by negotiate or'condinnation.
It must be noted that sooner or later the proposed road on
the Oliver Becker property will have to be purchased, since were are
requesting a set back based on the proposed Rd. system.
During the discussion it was pointed out by the Building
inspector, that he was of the opinion that the proposed Rd. in
sec 5 between Edgerton and Vanderbie was already changed by the
engineer.
During the discussion it was noted that the fisrt hearing
on the proposed road plan only pertained to a area between La Rd and
Co. Rd. D. and between Edgerton and Arcade St.
It was sugessted to Mr Becker that the Council could consider
a 60 ft set back.
It was also suggested that the matter be tabled until the
clerk returns with the minutes pertaining to the first hearing on the
thoraughfare.
Upon the motion of Mr. Rudy and seconded by Mr. Anderson,
the matter was tabled, until the clerk returns.
Ayes, Messrs: Anderson, Rudy,...De Bace, Chlebeck and Makeeff
Nayes 0, motion carried.
DURING THE ABSENCES OF THE CLERK, THE ATTORNY TOOK THE MINUTES.
Page 37
