MINUTES Council Oct. 26, 1983 Appendix E (Cont.) 1 Mr. Fahey agreed and pointed out that the gentlemen contacted the City prior to the 27th of September. Mr. Forsberg introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 83 -10 -511 - EXEMPTING MR. BILL SCHIFSKY AND MR. DAVID GERMER FROM THE REQUIREMENT OF APPENDIX E THAT A SPRINKLER SYSTEM BE INSTALLED IN AN INDUSTRIAL BUILDING OVER 2,000 SQUARE FEET IN SIZE DUE TO A HARDSHIP CAUSED BY SCHEDULING AS THESE TWO ,PARTIES HAD PREVIOUSLY REQUESTED PLACEMENT 0N 'THE CITY COUNCIL AGENDA FOR ITS SEPTEMBER 14, 1983 MEETING AND HAD BULDING PLANS READY FOR THAT .METING, HOWEVER, THE ADMINISTRATIVE AGENDA WAS FULL; PLANS WERE THEN CONSIDERED AT THE SEPTEMBER 28, 1933 `;EETING AND APPROVED; ALSO AT NO TIME PRIOR TO THE SEPTEMBER 28 MEETI ?C HAD THE REQUIREMENT OF A SPRINKLER SYSTEM BEEN CONVEYED TO THESE PARTIES The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Hanson. Ayes (5) Forsberg, Hanson, Scalze, Nardini, Fahey. Nayes (0). Resolution declared adopted. This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 9, Pages 556 and 557. Mr. Fahey suggested that Ms. Olson bring the Appendix E matter up at the Legislature and try to get some changes made without taking the teeth out of this legislation. Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 83 -10 -512 - REFERRING .APPENDIX E BACK TO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND THE FIRE CHIIEF ASKING FOR THEIR IMPUT GIVEN THE APPLICATIONS OP APPENDIX E AND ITS .IMPACT ON THE SMALL BUSINESSES IN THE CITY The foregoing resolutionwas duly seconded by Mr. Hanson.
