Ostrow
Sweeney, O'Connor & Borer
Professional Association
Attorneys at Law
Suite 1200
One Capital Centre Plaza
386 North Wabasha Street
St. Paul, Minnesota 55102
July 9, 1987
Mr. Joseph G. Chlebeck
City Clerk
515 Little Canada Road
Little Canada, MN 55117
Re: David Wright Subdivision
Our File No. 5951
Dear Joe:
Telephone
(612) 222 -2541
Please be advised that I was finally able to contact David Wright
by telephone relative to the above - captioned matter. Pursuant
to the directions of the Council, I informed Mr. Wright that the
proposed subidvision would require the dedication of an additional
twenty feet on the west end of the Plessel property. To the extent
that this property would have to be acquired, it would be acquired
at the expense of Mr. Wright. Mr. Wright indicated that in his
opinion the property should be acquired by the City through the
exercise of its power of eminent domain, if necessary.
As I previously indicated, I have had numerous discussions with
Mrs. Plessel, who informs me that she was aware of the anticipated
dedication of the property on the west side of her lot. However,
she anticipates being compensated for any property that will be
acquired. She thought that the additional twenty feet would be
worth approximately $17,000 to $18,000.
Would you please submit this matter to the Council for their consi-
deration. If anything additional should be done relative to this
matter, please contact me.
TMS /kj
Very truly yours,
SWEENEY, O'CONNOR & BORER
Thomas M.
