MINUTES
Planning Commission
June 11, 1987
Senty The Commission and the Senty's discussed whether the easement needed
Property to be taken from the north or south property line, and it was
Division decided that the City Engineer would have to make this determination.
(Cont.)
The Senty's asked if they would be reimbursed for the easement.
The Commission thought the easement would be a requirement of the
property division.
Mrs. Timmons recommended approval of the Senty property division
subject to the satisfactory location of the Alien Avenue dedication
by the City Engineer.
Motion seconded by Mr. Herkenhoff.
Motion carried 5 - 0.
Finkelson Mr. Finkelson submitted for approval the final plat for his property.
Final Plat
The City Planner reported that the final plat has not changed from
the preliminary plat which was previously approved by the Commission.
Mr. Davison recommended approval of the Finkelson final plat.
Motion seconded by Mrs. Timmons.
Motion carried 5 - 0.
Thunder
Bay 2nd
Addition
Final Plat
Mr. Frank Frattalone and Mr. Don Valento presented the final plat
of the Thunder Bay 2nd Addition for approval.
The City Planner reported that since tax increment financing is
being used for the purchase of the Wright property in conjunction
with this plat, the Council wants the road right -of -way through
to LaBore Road to be 50 feet wide. However, the developers are
proposing the road right -of -way adjacent to the Wright property
to be 40 feet wide with dedication of a 10 foot easement for snow
removal on the Wright property.
Valento was concerned that if the road right -of -way was 50 feet
adjacent to the Wright property, this would present problems as
the Wright property may not have enough front footage for a corner
lot. Valento pointed out that the road mat will be the standard
32 feet.
Timmons felt that this issue could be resolved at the Council level.
Frank Frattalone reported that they have resolved this with the City
Engineer.
Page 6
