1.
June 1, 1987
City of Little Canada City Council
515 E. Little Canada Rd.
Little Canada, Mn. 55117
Dear Mayor Fahey and Council,
This A.M. on the way to work, I saw another accident
occur on Edgerton and Labore Rd. I write this letter to
request that you have a traffic analysis made by the
Traffic Engineer of Ramsey County to see if a 4 -way
stop would be appropriate. I called Dan Soler at the
County and he said that the City of Little Canada must
cone in with the request. My reasons for this request
are as follows:
I think a 4 -way stop would create a safer traffic flag
at Labore and Edgerton. Cars heading south on Edgerton_
come over a hill and a car turning onto Edgerton-tan -,',%
turn before it is realized that a car is coming fast
damn Edgerton.
2. Also there will be an increase of population using these
roads with the new homes being built in this area.
3. If g park is built off of Edgerton, a 4 -way stop would
slow traffic so that turns into and out of the park
would be easier and safer.
4.
Bikers and walkers would he able to cross the street with
safety.
5. The neighbors I discussed this proposal with, thought it
would be a good idea.
I appreciate your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
/out_
Mary Lou Kostecki
656 Labore Rd.
Little Canada, Mn. 55117
Page 20
